TeamCPNZ Connect – Ep 32 – KAREN – CPNZ Media Live

FOR EPISODE 32 we talk to Karen Hill, a top-end Cross Country Rider who over the weekend completed her debut ultra run in Tasmania.

We had a solid 8 weeks available following her last XCO race in Hobart to turn those riding legs into running legs.  As someone that knows how to train, listen to her body and push herself she did awesome job of preparing.

Any ultra endurance event is effectively a nutritionathon which is another thing that Karen has in her favour.  She is also a Nutritionalist and worked alongside the event to help others dial in their nutrition strategy for the event.

We talk to Karen about her  preparation and how she felt as she crossed that finish line.

And for those cyclists out there before you click next we will also have a yarn about her Christmas holiday trip where her and her partner completed a full lap of Tasmania by bike 1200km in 7 days

TeamCPNZ Connect – Ep 29 – Nat – CPNZ Media Live

Welcome to the Team CPNZ Quick Connect Podcast where you can stay informed, keep connected and learn from each other. This episode we have the pleasure to chat to Nat Gallant.

Nat is a physio based in Blenhiem and is part of our Performance Network a trusted group of providers that we refer our athletes to. She wears her superhero cape in her day job to keep athletes in one piece and moving forward but it also must be said that she often wears it in the weekend while out adventuring in the hills.

She travelled to China with myself and the crew last September, in February she teamed up with Jake Vargo to win the Tandem team Coast to Coast and last weekend she completed “The Hillary” which basically meant that after work on Friday she got on her bike in Blenheim and rode south to the Kaikoura ranges, climbed Mt Tapu o nauka then rode her bike home again on Sunday to be ready for work on Monday – Solo.
