(BA, Vet MB, Ct PT, MRCVS)
I have been a qualified Vet for 20 years and for many years my main sport was rowing , competing widely in the UK and Europe at the top club level . The nature of the physical conditioning and training required lead me to experiment with other sports particularly endurance running and Ironman triathlon .
I have always enjoyed challenges and pushing myself ; in 2004 I completed the legendary Marathon de Sables and then in 2007 placed 3rd tandem kayak in the Yukon River Quest , the longest canoe/kayak race in the world , and then in 2010 completed the Comrades Ultra in South Africa .
I became a qualified PT in 2010 and have divided my time between veterinary and PT since then . I get a great buzz from seeing people achieve their goals and the pleasure that gives them , and my experience in different sports helps me in both my PT work and running coaching .
